US-Louisisana Flag with 18 stars, 18 stripes.

Thanks to Peter Orenski, TME Company, New Milford, CT, we now have a 3' x 5' US-Louisiana State flag: a replica (or reproduction) of the flag designed by Philip Hicky of Baton Rouge in 1812. Louisiana became the 18th state on April 30, 1812, and our Bicentennial year is a bit over a year away.

Modern replica, 2010

I did not make an exact copy of Hicky's flag. My version keeps most features of his design. I removed the red border; though it is distinctive, it's a bit confusing. It's not easy to count the stripes.

This 3' by 5' flag (digitally printed on polyester) may be purchased for $75. In quantities of 100, they would be silk screened and available for about $50 each.

If you want a single flag for $75, contact me, or look up the TME Company. Tell Peter Orenski that Reggie sent you. If you want to buy flags at $50 each, let me know; we may be able to combine orders. They may be offered for sale locally at this lower price. Call Reggie Dawes, 504-322-4703.
